Materials

Q: What materials do you use?
A: Most of Erica Sara’s designs are in sterling silver or gold filled unless otherwise noted. All gemstones are genuine precious or semi-precious stones.

Q: What is gold filled?
A: Gold filled is an actual layer of gold which is pressure bonded to another metal. It is not the same as gold plated — gold filled contains more gold than gold plated. Gold filled does not rub off or turn colors and can be worn by anyone who can wear gold without worry of allergic reaction. It will last as long as 14kt gold.

Q: What is gold vermeil?
A: Gold vermeil is a technique where a thick layer of at least 2.5 microns of gold is electroplated onto sterling silver. Learn more.

Q: How thick are your discs?
A: All discs are between 20 gauge (.032 inches, .81 mm) and 22 gauge (.025 inches, .64 mm). My jewelry is designed to be dainty and lightweight. If chunky thick jewelry is your thing, my designs might not be right for you.

Q: Is 14kt gold available?
A: Absolutely! Erica would be happy to create select designs in 14kt gold as a custom order. Please contact us if you are interested in beginning this design process. Pricing is based on current market value of gold as well as design details.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express for all orders.

Q: Is it safe to use my credit card on your site?
A: Absolutely! We use a 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate to ensure all transactions are securely processed.

Shipping & Returns

Q. Where are you shipping from?
A. We ship from our studio near Charlotte, North Carolina.

Q: How quickly will my order ship?
A: Because all of Erica Sara’s jewelry is made to order, orders can take up to 10 business days to ship. The ESD Production Team works standard business hours M-F only. All dates are approximate and are subject to change with sales and holidays. Visit our shipping guide for more information.

Q. Is it possible to rush my order?
A. Yes! Many of our items have a Rush Production option that you can select. This $20 charge will move your piece to the front of the line and it’ll be shipped out within 3 business days of your order.

If you purchase multiple items but don’t include rush production on all of them, we’ll ship the rushed pieces to you via your selected shipping method and will ship any remaining pieces to you first class at no additional charge.

Please note that not all designs have rush production available. If you don’t see the option, that means that rush production is not available for that item.

Q. What shipping options are available?
A. The following domestic shipping options are available:

  • Priority, FREE with orders of $100 or more, or $7
    Production time: Up to 10 business days (standard) or up to 3 business days (rush production)
    Expected delivery after production: 2–3 business days
  • Standard, $5
    Production time: Up to 10 business days (standard) or up to 3 business days (rush production)
    Expected delivery after production: 3–7 business days
  • Express, $25
    Production time: Up to 10 business days (standard) or up to 3 business days (rush production)
    Expected delivery after production: 1–2 business days

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: We do! Please see our shipping guide for more information on our international shipping options.

Q. Will I know when my order ships?
A. Yes, of course. You will receive automated emails when your order has been completed and is awaiting shipment, and when your order is on it’s way. Once shipped, your email will include tracking information.

Q: My package is delayed or lost, what do I do?
A: Please understand that once we deliver your package to USPS, we have no control over it. If your package appears to be delayed, please contact USPS with your tracking information. If your package is confirmed to be lost and you selected a shipping option that includes insurance, please contact us with your order information and we will replace your order for you.

Returns & Exchanges

Q: Do you accept returns or exchanges?
A: Due to their custom nature, personalized designs, special orders, and custom styles are final sale and cannot be returned (even if they have been ordered blank and/or with no engraving). Please be sure to read the detailed description of the item before purchasing, as it gives information about the types of pieces we create and what you can expect.

For all other items, we accept returns or exchanges of unworn pieces within 10 days of receipt. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us for a return authorization and be sure to include the reason for your return.

Please note that original shipping fees are non-refundable. Returns must be in unworn condition, in the state you received them, in the original box. The customer is responsible for return shipping charges.

Q: What if I ordered the wrong size or entered the wrong engraving?
A: If a personalized or custom ring or bracelet size does not fit correctly, or if the jewelry was ordered with incorrect engraving, we are happy to exchange it for the same style in the correct size/correct engraving within 10 days of receipt. Please note that there is a 15% restocking fee for any personalized or custom style that is being exchanged or modified, as well as all applicable shipping fees. Original shipping fees are non-refundable. The customer is responsible for return shipping charges.

Q: What if there is an error or defect with my piece?
A: If there is an error with your order, and the error was created by Erica Sara Designs, we are happy to remake your piece. We must be notified via email at our contact form within seven days of delivery and the original piece must be returned so that we can verify the error. In these cases, we will supply you with a prepaid shipping label to return the piece.

Q. What is your product warranty and repair policy?
A. Quality and craftsmanship is my utmost concern. However, please understand that jewelry is delicate by nature. Every Erica Sara Designs piece comes with a 6 month limited warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers breakage, but does not cover damages related to normal wear and tear, such as surface scratches. The warranty also does not cover damage deemed to be caused by misuse (examples: it was caught in your zipper, your child yanked it off your neck). Repairs that are needed after the 6 month warranty expires or that are deemed to be caused by misuse will incur a repair charge at the customer’s expense as well as shipping charges.

Q. My item was received but was lost or stolen once received. What can I do?
A. We’re sorry but we are not responsible for any items lost or stolen once they’re received.
